HAND-ETCHED TUAREG WOMEN'S TRADITIONAL EARRINGS
My long term passion for tribal silver work & older Tuareg jewelry designs led to the co-creation of certain pieces being brought forth from an older silversmith's memory. This collection of hand-etched traditional earrings is what Tuareg women once wore or now, in a more modernized version, still wear today. All of these earrings have been hand-crafted by an uncle, a son or a brother within the family of silversmiths that I work with in Agadez, Niger, West Africa.

I found this earring design called fatfatfari in a book and took it to Niger.
My silversmith upon seeing it said that Tuareg women had not worn this design for 30 years. We made 3 traditional etched versions & all of them strongly appeal to women.
